Victor Osimhen advised to stay at Naapoli by Christian Obodo, former Nigeria midfielder

African Footballers: Victor Osimhen Napoli. Former Nigerian midfielder, Christian Obodo, has advised Victor Osimhen to remain at Napoli amidst interest from premiere league clubs.

Big European clubs like Manchester United and Arsenal have shown interest in the Napoli striker due to his excellence performance in the last season.

During the just ended season, Victor made 27 appearances overall with 14 goals and was ranked joint eighth in the Serie A goal scoring chart.

According to an interview with 1 Station Radio as reported by Punch, Obodo said

“I have been aware of Osimhen’s potential even before he joined Napoli, I think Napoli is the only place for a player like Victor in addition to the adequacy of the coach.”.

“Luciano work is relevant to his growth and that has allowed him to grow a lot both at Napoli and with the national team, I have no doubt at the Impact that the former Lille striker would have on Napoli” he added.

The 38-year-old Christian Obodo has played in Italy for 11 years. Some of the clubs he played for include: Perugia,Fiorenita, Udinnese, Torino and Leece.
