African Community Awards. African Community in Germany Awards 2022. Diana Mac Omolo has been nominated for the Best African Author in Germany Award in Germany at the AFRONEWS – Ortel Mobile African Community in Germany Awards 2022.
Who is Diana Mac Omolo?
Diana Mac Omolo is a Kenyan Author currently living in Munich, Germany. She holds that winning the awards in this category will create a platform to expose African stories.
“As an Author, I feel like our Afro Society should acquire the culture of telling and reading their own stories. In this way, they get to be empowered to embrace the stories and experiences especially positive sides that the society hardly put in the limelight,” Diana says.
As an Author, she ventures into telling positive stories of intercultural co-existence: “I write children’s books that showcase talents and self-worth.”
Her chosen themes are meant to encourage little ones to see themselves as champions, complete and whole in their own skin even if they hardly see a great number of role models of their own kind in televisions within Germany.
Diana’s main focus is to empower the next generation and make them feel comfortable in their own skin. This she does through her stories for she believes everyone starts discovering themselves at a young age and without encouragement, they are likely to lose it all.
“It is important for me to put a foundation for the coming generation because self-worth, self-esteem and selflove starts at that very tender age. Let’s empower while writing, reading and sharing,” Diana says.
“Love Comes to Munich” by Diana Mac Omolo is a contemporary literary romance about Luisa, a beautiful, charming and loving girl from Brazil. Luisa works as a receptionist at Hotel Palacio, a major luxurious and exquisite tourists’ hotel along one of the world most known beaches – Copacabana. This sizzling, romantic, and spicy love affair novel is available as ebook and paperback from Amazon.
