Queen Elizabeth has tested positive for COVID-19. Buckingham Palace further announced that the queen was facing mild symptoms and can carry out light duties.
The monarch is expected to continue receiving medical attention. She is also currently following the stipulated guidelines and there is no cause for alarm. A few weeks ago the queen’s eldest son also tested positive for COVID-19 after being in contact with her mother. A few people in Windsor castle have also tested positive for COVID-19.
The Archbishop of Canterbury on Sunday led his congregation in praying for the Queen. They usually pray for her but this time round they dedicated her health. “We pray for her comfort and sweet recovery and everyone suffering from COVID-19”. Boris Johnson, UK’s Prime Minister also wished the Queen a quick recovery through his Twitter handle. He also added that he was wishing her a quick recovery on behalf of everyone.
The queen already got her first vaccine in January 2021. People of England have wished the Queen a quick recovery and sent her messages of hope. This comes after the queen has reached her platinum Jubilee of 70 years. She is UK’s longest-reigning Monarch.
