Ismaila Sarr is a Senegalese footballer who plays for the Senegal National team and Premier League club, Watford.

Sarr was missing in action after he got an injury in a match against Manchester United. The Watford winger was seeking treatment in Barcelona and had hoped to be part of the AFCON as soon as it started. His hopes were cut short after his doctor said he couldn’t play by the time AFCON was starting.

Senegal only got four points in group stages and managed to proceed to the last sixteen. The Lions of Teranga won against Cape Verde (2-0) and qualified to the Quarter finals of the Africa Cup 2021.
