The American actor Anthony Mackie surprised his Kenyan fans when he was spotted over the weekend hanging out at a popular restaurant which is in Kenya.
In the shared photo on Instagram the Avengers actor can be seen dressed in a black shirt and hoodie, red shorts, and a face mask written ‘I Am A Man, Vote.’
The 42-year-old actor who had stopped by the restaurant to have brunch, did not miss the chance to take some photos with his adoring fans.
Photos shared by the Social House Nairobi on their Instagram page were captioned: “Well, would you look at who showed up for today’s #SundayBrunch, Yes you guessed right, it’s @anthonymackie in flesh and blood. The Social House is so proud to have made a new Super-Hero Rafiki! When we tell you this is the place to be, you can take it to the bank.”
In 2002, Anthony Mackie was featured in Eminem’s film debut, “8 Mile”. He was nominated for Independent Spirit Award for Best Actor for his role in Brother to Brother. His second nomination was for Best Supporting Actor at the 2009 Independent Spirit Awards for his role in The Hurt Locker.
He achieved global recognition with his portrayal of Sam Wilson/Falcon in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, making his first appearance in “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” (2014) and later in “Avengers: Age of Ultron” (2015), “Ant-Man” (2015), “Captain America: Civil War” (2016), “Avengers: Infinity War” (2018), and “Avengers: Endgame” (2019), as well as the upcoming Disney+ exclusive limited series, “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier”.
Anthony Mackie joins the list of the few international celebrities to have visited Kenya recently, including singers Ashanti, Madonna and British Supermodel Naomi Campbell.
