Workshop to discuss role of asylum related organisations in reception and integration of refugees

The role played by asylum related organisations in the integration of refugees in Europe will be discussed at an international workshop in Bochum, Germany in July.

The workshop will be held at Ruhr-University Bochum from 6th to 8th July 2016.

Students and lecturer of the project “Mapping Refugees’ Arrivals at Mediterranean borders” (MAREM) will present results of their field research.

Invited guests from the six countries involved in the project (Spain, Italy, Greece, Malta, Cyprus and Germany) will also give information.

The following central questions will be addressed: Which characteristics and cooperation partners do the organisations dealing with refugees in Europe have? (How) Are these organisations part of the Common European Asylum System?

All interested in the field of refugees and asylum can attend the workshop. The participation is free of charge, but the travel and accommodation costs cannot be covered by the organizers of the workshop.
