Africa Cup 2021: Nigeria triumphed over Egypt 1-0 in the Group D opening game during the AFCON games currently being held in Cameroon.
The Leicester star player Kelechi Iheanacho’s goal in the first half gave the Nigeria Super Eagles victory over Egypt’s The Pharaoh.
Despite Egypt having great names in their team such as the Liverpool star Mohammed Salah and Aston Villa’s Trezeguet, together with their reputation in the previous African Cup of Nations, Nigeria was still able to give them a tough time.
They presented a very tough midfield combination of Moses Simon and Joe Aribo giving them the best attack in the tournament leaving Mo’ Salah with no chance to control the game.
