Germany: 1 dead and 5 wounded in knife attack at asylum shelter in Kressbronn

Germany news. Refugees in Germany. At least one person has been confirmed dead and several others wounded in a knife attack at an asylum-seekers shelter in Kressbronn, Southern Germany.

According to Deutsche Welle, the suspect believed to be a resident at the shelter, is said to have knocked on several doors at the facility in Kressbronn on Lake Constance late Sunday and “stabbed indiscriminately” at anyone who answered.

One man succumbed to his injuries dying at the scene, one man seriously injured was flown to a hospital, and four others injured were taken to hospital by ambulance. It is yet unclear whether there was other casualties.

AA news wrote, the 31-year-old man whose name was not given in line with German privacy policy, has been detained by police who are yet to determine a motive for the attack.
