Germany: RKI recommends New Coronavirus Testing Strategy

In the midst of a coronavirus blockade in Germany, the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) unexpectedly recommends a new testing strategy for the country: laboratories have reached their peak capacity, so you need to focus on specific risk groups, writes the daily Bild on Friday.

“The highest health authority in the Federal Republic of Germany no longer wants all people with mild symptoms of coronavirus infection (e.g. sore throat, shortness of breath) to be tested to see if they have the coronavirus,” the newspaper said.
