Africans in Germany. African footballers. Nigerian Germany-based footballer, Jordan Torunarigha, declared he is open to negotiations with Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on making moves to represent the Nigerian team the Super Eagles.
The Nigerian footballer turned down the chance to be part of the team back in 2018 who were then preparing for the World Cup, as he had his sight set on climbing the youth ranks of Germany.
Jordan Torunarigha (born 7th August 1997) currently plays for Belgian club Gent on loan from Bundesliga club Hertha BSC. He is son of former footballer, Ojokojo Torunarigha and brother of current footballer Junior Torunarigha.

He has since represented Germany at U21 and U23 level making the inroad from the U15, U18, U19 and U20. It would be expected that the senior team would be his target, but the Nigerian had other ideas.
In an exclusive chat with OwnGoalNigeria, the 24 year old said, “I met with the ex-coach of the Nigerian team Gernot Rohr and said I will make a decision after Olympics.
He is no longer in charge but if they contact me, we will talk about it. I’m at an age where youth football isn’t possible anymore. I want to enjoy senior football so I will be open to hearing from Nigeria.”
