Gambian striker Assan Ceesay signed to U.S Lecce in a 3-year contract.

African sports news. African footballers. Gambian striker Assan Ceesay has signed a 3-year contract with the option to extend to a year with Lecce, a newly promoted Series A team in Italy.

Assan left the Swiss Champions, FC Zürich, on a free transfer after scoring 20 goals and providing 10 assists in the 2021/2022 season. Many teams wanted the Gambian striker but Assan Ceesay referred Lecce who recently gained the promotion to Series A this season.

‘His contract will run until 2024’, U. S Lecce posted on their social media platforms.
