Gambian Striker Assan Ceesay signs 3-year contract with Lecce in Italy 

Gambian striker Assan Ceesay signed to U.S Lecce in a 3-year contract.

African sports news. African footballers. Gambian striker Assan Ceesay has signed a 3-year contract with the option to extend to a year with Lecce, a newly promoted Series A team in Italy.

Assan left the Swiss Champions, FC Zürich, on a free transfer after scoring 20 goals and providing 10 assists in the 2021/2022 season. Many teams wanted the Gambian striker but Assan Ceesay referred Lecce who recently gained the promotion to Series A this season.

‘His contract will run until 2024’, U. S Lecce posted on their social media platforms.

Assan Torres Ceesay, the next signing for the U.S. Lecce, has arrived in Salento for his medical examinations today, as per Gianluca Di Marzio. Official announcement to come soon.
