Adidas sponsors Kenyan Sprinter Omanyala: German Multinational Sportswear Adidas is set to sponsor Kenyan sprinter Omanyala’s traveling, kitting, and accommodation expenses. This is after he officially joined the team of athletes the firm sponsor.

Adidas covers Ferdinand Omanyala expenses after signing a deal

Apart from the three-year multi-million deal, Adidas has also promised to disburse bonuses to Omanyala. The bonuses are to come if he wins any medal or breaks records in future track events. According to an interview in the capital FM, Omanyala shared his plans for this year. The sprinter expects to break more records as opposed to last year. He is also planning to compete in the 200 metres track event this year. This new challenge comes with its own difficulties such as more practicing time.

Ferdinand Omanyala’s age,background and career history

Omanyala is 25 years old and he got into the limelight after remarkable results at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics where he finished fourth. While in the second year, Omanyala broke the 100 meters record at the Kip Keino Classics held at the Moi International Sports Center. The sprinter ran for 9.77 seconds breaking the previous record set by South Africa’s Akani Simbine. Currently, he is the fastest man in Africa and the 8th fastest sprinter of all time.
