Italian city to host African Fashion show, music and art festival

Fascinating beauty of African cultures will be proudly displayed at an event to mark the 50th Anniversary of Saint Peter Martyr Parish in Cinisello Balsamo, Milan, Italy.

The African community living in this small town will host a special event featuring African fashion show, music, art and cuisine.

Explaining why she decided to organise this African cultural event, Roselyne Ogonya, a Kenya fashion designer and founder of MOG Couture said: “I decided to take part in the event organization as a part of interaction and a way of showcasing the rich African cultures to Italians.”

Ms Ogonya is organising the event under her Africa Italia Cultural Exchange Association in collaboration with the local parish.

The outdoor event will take place on Sunday 8th May 2022 at Largo Milano, Cinisello Balsamo from 15:30. It will feature an African fashion show with models wearing MOG Couture designs. It will also feature live music by Arsène Duevi Tsibiaku, a Togolese-Italian musician and a church choir. Several DJs will also be on the decks to entertain the guests with hot African music.

“After two years of pandemic, it’s time to for us to get out, get together and share good times. Let’s bring back the sense of brotherhood ”UBUNTU” and enjoy diverse cultures from both Africa and Italy,” Ms Ogonya said.
