Invest Gambia, a company that attracts investors to do business in Gambia has had a successful meeting with Mashaallah Cargo Gambia in Turkey. There might be a merger that strengthens business ties.
Mashaallah Cargo Gambia is a Turkish based company owned by a Gambian citizen. It mainly focuses on shipping goods to The Gambia in addition to encouraging Turkish investors to eye on Gambian markets for potential investment opportunities in all areas.
Invest Gambia, is a Gambian own company that attracts foreign investors to do business in Gambia. It also mentors young entrepreneurs to be successful businesspeople.
Adam Njie, Chief Executive Officer of Mashaallah Cargo Gambia in Turkey said: “We do airflight shipping, sea freight containers helping businesspeople across Africa”.
Christopher Mendy, alias Gambian Chris Black Chief Executive Officer of Invest Gambia said Turkey trip was purposely meant for the business investment they did for Malilang Collection focused on ladies accessories.
Mr Mendy described Massallah Cargo Gambia in Turkey as a “reliable and efficient” company and encouraged all investors in Turkey to work with them in sending goods to Gambia.
Invest Gambia currently employs 15 Gambians across the country and is determined to expand.
“The trip to Turkey was to also invest on Malilang Collection which focuses on ladies’ accessories like dresses, shoes, bags and jewelleries and gentlemen wears. We want to set an example so that many investors can follow us to invest in Gambia in different areas,” Mr Mendy said.
Momodou Saidykhan, the UK based Gambian who is the managing partner of Invest Gambia stressed that they wanted to contribute their quota in social economy development of The Gambia by creating employment opportunities for the young people. He revealed that they were targeting business establishments in other African countries.
