Ambassador Alice Mashingaidze of the Republic of Zimbabwe to Germany has praised the AFRONEWS – Ortel Mobile African Community in Germany Awards for recognising African achievers in Germany.
In a speech read on her behalf at the Awards Gala Night by Mr Prince Makurudze – Minister Counsellor, Embassy of the Republic of Zimbabwe to Germany, Ambassador Mashingaidze said the organisers had “done well by introducing the Africa Community in Germany Awards which recognises Africans, including Zimbabweans, for the splendid work they do in pursuing business activities in Germany.”
Mr Stephen Ogongo, who is the editor of Afronews.de, founded the African Community in Germany Awards in 2021 to celebrate and recognise outstanding achievements of Africans in different fields in Germany.
The Awards appreciate and encourage Africans who have excelled in different fields and are making a positive contribution to the German society. They also recognise the good work done by African organisations/associations and businesses to promote a positive image of Africa and Africans, facilitate integration of Africans in Germany, promote business opportunities and international cooperation between Germany and African countries.
“I would like to thank the organisers of this event AfroNews in partnership with Ortel Mobile, for recognising one of our own, Mr. Kumbirai Chipadza, nominated for his outstanding and huge impact in Germany, a worthy winner of the AFRONEWS – Ortel Mobile African Community in Germany Awards,” the ambassador said.
Mr Chipadza won the Best African Business/Entrepreneur in Germany 2022 Award at the Red Carpet Gala Night Awards ceremony held in Eschborn on 22nd October 2022. He was one of the 15 Africans who have excelled in different fields in Germany to be recognised and celebrated at the African Community in Germany Awards Gala Night.
