Coronavirus – COVID-19 is increasingly becoming a serious problem in Germany as well. Official data shows that the number of cases in the country has risen sharply reaching 129 compared with the 66 cases on Saturday.
More than half of the cases have been reported in North Rhine-Westphalia.
Reports from Germany’s center for disease control and prevention, the Robert Koch Institute, show that nine of Germany’s 16 states now have cases of coronavirus – COVID-19, with Frankfurt, Hamburg and Bremen among the cities reporting their first infections, DW reported.
Out of the 129 cases, 74 cases have been confirmed in North Rhine-Westphalia — Germany’s most populous state. The other states with a high number of infections are: Bavaria with 23 cases and Baden-Württemberg, which reported a total of 15 confirmed infections.
