After a successful tour across Europe this summer, Rebellion The Recaller, who won Best African Musician/Band In Germany at the African Community in Germany Awards (2021), is set to host the Rebel Reggae Festival on November 30, 2024, at Serekunda East Stadium in The Gambia. This marks his debut festival in his home region, bringing a celebration of reggae music and culture to fans from across the region and beyond.
The festival, organized by Inspired Ones, aims to be more than just a music event. It seeks to unite reggae enthusiasts, inspire the younger generation, and showcase the powerful messages embedded in reggae’s roots. Rebellion The Recaller, a global icon in reggae known for his soulful lyrics and uplifting performances, has designed this event to give back to his fans and connect with them on a deeper level.
The lineup features Rebellion himself alongside a host of talented Gambian artists, including ST Brikama Boyo, Jizzle, Maha D Hammer, and Sparkly Black, among others. The performances will be backed by the Ecstasy live band. The event will also feature renowned DJs such as DJ Fireman, DJ Spytal, and Zion Gate Sound, promising a rich blend of live performances and DJ sets.
