Before joining West Ham, he played for Nordsjælland and Ajax. Kudus is from Nima, a neighborhood in Accra, Ghana, and comes from a Muslim family. He also has two brothers who live in Accra.
On August 27, 2023, Kudus signed a five-year contract with West Ham United, moving from Ajax for €44.5 million, plus extra payments. This made him the third Ghanaian player at the club and the second most expensive Ghanaian footballer after Thomas Partey.
