Eddie Nketiah transfer news. African footballers. Arsenal might make a late summer move for Eberechi Eze if Crystal Palace’s interest in Eddie Nketiah increases before the August 30 deadline. The Gunners are open to selling Nketiah for the right price, as Mikel Arteta looks to add a third signing this transfer window, but no suitable offer has come in yet.
Marseille was close to signing the 25-year-old striker earlier this month but reportedly pulled out due to his €29 million price tag. Bournemouth expressed interest after selling Dominic Solanke to Tottenham Hotspur but instead agreed to a club-record €45 million deal to sign Porto striker Evanilson.
As the Premier League season begins, Nketiah’s future remains uncertain, despite Arteta assuring that he will have a role if he stays. “All the players here have the biggest chance of staying with us. That’s why they’re here,” Arteta said after Nketiah was an unused substitute in Arsenal’s 2-0 win against Lyon last week.
Arsenal is expected to sell if the right opportunity arises, and Crystal Palace is reportedly eyeing Nketiah as Oliver Glasner seeks to strengthen their attack.

According to Sky Sports, the Eagles are considering a potential deal as they seek to replace the goals and assists of Michael Olise, who joined Bayern Munich for around €58 million earlier this summer, leaving a gap in Palace’s attack.
If Palace’s interest in Nketiah grows in the coming days, Arsenal could try to include Eze in a part-swap deal. Eze was one of the Premier League’s standout attackers last season, with 11 goals and four assists in 24 starts.
The 26-year-old was linked with Manchester City, but their interest didn’t progress. Arsenal could gain an advantage over their title rivals by bringing him to the Emirates Stadium.
