Supplement to Kindergeld: Kinderzuschlag Amount in 2024
The Kindergeld supplement, known as Kinderzuschlag, is an additional benefit paid monthly alongside the family allowance, available to residents in Germany. The amount of Kinderzuschlag depends on the family’s income. As of January 1, 2024, low-income families can receive up to 292 euros per month in child allowance, an increase from the previous 250 euros per month.
Parents who are already receiving this additional benefit or who applied for it before January 2024 do not need to take any action, as the amount will be automatically adjusted.
