Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala WFO’s first female African Director-General graces cover of TIME magazine

WFO’s first female African Director-General, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, has graced an issue of TIME magazine’s cover as one of the World’s Most Influential Leaders.

Ngozi Okonjo was confirmed as director-general of the World Trade Organisation shattering a glass ceiling; she is the first female African leader of this organisation in its’ 25 years of operation to come this far in the competition.

The Nigerian former Finance Minister announced her achievement on a Facebook post and wrote this in respect to it:

‘Honoured and privileged to be on the cover of Time Magazine and to be recognised as one of the World’s Most Influential Leaders! Profound thanks to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for their kind words. All Glory to God!’

Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala confirmed Director-general of the World Trade Organisation (WTO)

Nigerian Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala nominated new Director-General of the World Trade Organisation, She stands to become the organisation’s first female and African leader.
