Ghanaian Omari Forson offered new deal. African footballers. English-born Ghanaian forward, Omari Forson, has been offered a new contract by FA Cup winners Manchester United ahead of the summer transfer window.
The talented attacking midfielder’s current contract expires at the end of the month, and there are strong reports in England that Forson wants to leave the club. Forson has not yet decided whether to sign the new contract. He likely wants assurance of more game time, given his limited role last season.
“Discussions remain open with Jonny Evans and Tom Heaton over potential new contracts, while Omari Forson has formally been offered a new deal,” stated Man United on their official website.
Forson made only seven senior appearances for the club last season. However, he has been in outstanding form for the youth team, scoring 15 goals and providing eight assists for the U23s. He also scored nine goals and delivered nine assists with the U18s.

Who is Omari Forson?
Omari Forson is the latest Manchester United academy graduate to gain attention at the Premier League club. Born in London, Forson started his youth career at West Ham United before moving to Tottenham Hotspur. He joined Manchester United in January 2019 and has made significant progress since then.
The 19-year-old has steadily climbed the ranks at Manchester United and has also made his mark on the international stage with the under-20 team. Forson made his first-team debut for Manchester United in the 2023/24 season, catching the eye of manager Erik ten Hag.

Last season, Forson made seven first-team appearances for Manchester United, providing one assist in 88 minutes of game time. However, there is uncertainty about his long-term future at the club due to his current contract situation.
