Why was Jerome Boateng suspended?

Boateng was suspended after a game on February 5th against Monaco after he was accused of allegedly having heated arguments with his team-mates. We wrote about it here: Why Jerome Boateng was expelled from Olympique Lyon ahead of league game.

“I can’t say much. I’ve seen a lot of wrong things in the newspapers. For me, he wasn’t ready to play today,” Bosz explained when Jerome Boateng was banned from the team after the game against Nice.

According to Kicker.de, OL president Jean-Michel Aulas announced his return to the squad – but Boateng only played a game again on March 4, when he got 19 minutes in the 4-1 away win in Lorient.

He managed to be replaced in all four games since his suspension in the starting lineup by Castello Lukeba and midfielder Thiago Mendes.
