Kenya Diaspora Homecoming Convention 2022

The 9th Annual Kenya Diaspora Homecoming Convention is a 3 day event organized by The Kenya Diaspora Alliance (KDA), through the Diaspora Investment Club Limited (DICL) and targets diaspora communities, their families and associates (locally and abroad), investors, corporates, professionals, embassies, students, support organizations, service providers, among other stakeholders.

The conference is scheduled to take place from the 7th – 9th December 2022, at Ole Sereni Hotel Nairobi, Kenya from 8am.

This year’s theme will be: Leveraging Diaspora Resources for Inclusive Growth. The event shall be a ‘Double Hybrid’, being both Conference and Exhibition (Expo), both In-person/Physical, as well as Virtual (including Virtual Booths, Meeting Rooms, etc).

Among confirmed eminent speakers are, HON CS Foreign & Diaspora Affairs, Nigeria’s chair/CEO Diaspora Commission, Excellency Chair, Council of Governers, National Treasury PS (Representing HON CS), Mzee/Dr Manu Chandaria.

Also submissions from experts, speakers and organizations seeking to share their experience and expertise during the conference sessions are welcome.

Chairman of the Kenya Diaspora Alliance Dr Shem Ochuodho has announced that the conference will be seeking to explore ways in which the Government can bolster diaspora remittances and investment opportunities in the country.

“Kenyans living abroad are set to engage the Government on new investment opportunities and how to create jobs for Kenyans who are at home and abroad,” said Dr Ochuodho.

Cabinet Secretary for Foreign Affairs Alfred Mutua, will engage with Kenyans living abroad in the convention to strengthen the ministry’s ties with the diaspora, as many have felt abandoned by the foreign affairs ministry over the years.
