Netflix released its first limited original Nigerian series “Blood Sister” premiered on 5th May 2022 in partnership with Ebony Films.
The four – part series has been directed by Biyi Bandela and Kenneth Gyang and created by Temidayo Makanjuola. “Blood Sisters” tells a story of two best friends, Sarah (Ini Dima-Okojie) and Kemi (Nancy Isime) who are running from the law.
Sarah is engaged to her dream man, Kola (Deyemi Okanlawon.) However, their seemingly idyllic union has a dark side. And Kola’s death adds mystery to the whole thing.
The victim’s family tries to figure out who caused his death after finding the dead body.
More secrets about Kola and his family conflicts surface after the body is found. Meanwhile a photographer is trying to blackmail the two best friends after seeing them put the dead body into a car. Thereafter, drama unveils throughout the entire series.
The series has taken social media by storm after featuring key stars of the Nollywood entertainment and some newcomers who performed excellently on the series. Some of the cast members include: Ini Dima – Okojie, Nancy Isime,
Ramsey Nouah, Kate Henshaw, Gabriel Afolayan, Uche Jombo, Kehinde Bankole, Daniel Etim Effiong, Wale Ojo and Deyemi Okanlawon.

When will “Blood Sisters” season two be released?
Netflix has not yet announced the release date of season two of Blood Sisters but the positive reaction the first season received may make the release of season two be accelerated. Fans are only left hoping for a season two after season one ended with a suspense.
Other Nigerian movies that have been produced by Netflix that have taken the masses by storm include “Omo Ghetto”, “Blockbusters”, “King of Boys” and “The Saga” but the drama on “Blood Sisters” can’t be compared to any of them.
