Kenyan singer Esther Akothee gets married in stunning stylish event – IMAGES

African entertainment news. Kenyan socialite Akothee gets married. The singer-songwriter, Esther Akothee, got married in Kenya in a stunning event attended by the who’s who in Kenya from socialites, political leaders to celebrities. Here’s what we know;

The self proclaimed ‘President of Single Mothers’ became ‘Mrs Schweizer’ after tying the knot with her Swiss fiancé Dennis Schweizer who has been nicknamed Omosh on social media platforms.

Akothee’s wedding was held on the 10th of April 2023 at the Windsor Golf Hotel and from the dolling up of the bride to the venue and the guest list, the event was deemed the wedding of the century.

The guest list included opposition leader Raila Odinga’s wife, Ida Odinga, Gender Cabinet Secretary Aisha Jumwa, MP Phelix Odiwour (also known as Jalang’o), and nominated Senator Karen Nyamu. Others were the wife of Kisumu Governor Dorothy Nyong’o, Migori First Lady Dr Agnes Ayacko, former Mombasa gubernatorial candidate Suleiman Shahbal and lawyer PLO Lumumba, wrote local news media The Nation.

Akothee made a grand entry to the venue chauffeured in a blue convertible and her beau rode in on a horse. During the ceremony, the singer danced the day away to traditional African Luo music with her family from her three daughters to her parents and some siblings.

It is rumoured that the star had a falling out with her sister which had led them to not being close anymore and hence she was in the country but not invited to the event.

The only people from her immediate family who were absent at the wedding were her two sons Oyoo and Ojwang who live with their father in France and had school to attend, and her sister Cebbie Koks Nyasego.

This is Akothee’s second marriage after separating from her first husband, the father of her three daughters—Vesha Okello, Celly Rue and Prudence Otieno.
