A 25 year-old Congolese man has vowed to marry his 85 year-old Kenyan girlfriend who he met while looking for a place to stay as he pursued a higher education.
The 25 year-old, Muima, is 60 years younger than his lover and wife-to-be, Thereza. The age difference however does not bother them as they believe they are perfect for each other and deserve each other.
Muima had gone house hunting for a place to stay while he pursued higher education when he and his friend found themselves at Thereza’s house.
Muima said in an interview with Afrimax English that he would never choose anyone over her, Though she is an old woman and she could be his grandmother, he still loves her.
The 85 year-old is a mother to eight with 20 grandchildren. She mentioned in an interview that her boyfriend is about the same age as her fifth born son.
“I have eight children and 20 grandchildren. According to my boyfriend’s age, he could be my fifth grandchild. He loves me and I love him. I am ready to put on the wedding dress and ring, ” wrote Citizen digital to quote Thereza.
In preparation for the wedding, Muima was asked by the children to give 12 cows as the bride price, an offer he was willing to pay.

Muima explained that one Friday night Thereza visited him with some food as he had none in his home. He recalled the night so well and said it was one of the highlights in their relationship as Thereza served and took care of him with such gentleness similar to a good wife.
Muima said that these are some of the things that made him fall in love with her.
