Kakadoo Allezusammen e.V nominated Best African Association in Germany at AFRONEWS – Ortel Mobile African Community in Germany Awards 2022

African Community Awards. African Community in Germany Awards 2022. Kakadoo Allezusammen e.V has been nominated for the Best African Business/Entrepreneur in Germany Award at the AFRONEWS – Ortel Mobile African Community in Germany Awards 2022.

Who is Kakadoo Allezusammen eV?

Kakadoo Allezusammen e.V, headed by Demian Onwuegbu, is a non-profit health network for the African communities and people with a migration background in Osnabrück/Lower Saxony/Germany.

Their goal is to promote public health, international attitude, tolerance in all areas of culture, international understanding and participation as well as violence prevention, public health care and to reduce the wrong health care of African fellow citizens.

Kakadoo Allezusammen eV does not offer its own health service. It is a “bridge between cultures” and helps people from the sub-Saharan regions and people with a migration background to find access to existing standard care offers or supports the existing services. For instance, the association organises information events (in native languages).

It also provides relevant publications, case supervision, interpreter provision or networking – to enable Africans to participate and have equal opportunities in the use of existing offers and legally prescribed self-help mechanisms.

In their work, they want to increase the health awareness of fellow citizens from the sub-Saharan community at different levels. In order to achieve this goal, they not only concentrate on the individual projects of their association, but also try to achieve a larger radius of action through strategic partnerships. As a result, they are dependent on working with cooperation partners in Lower Saxony.

In order to achieve this goal effectively, they do often work very closely with these different organisation such as – African Country organisation; Baobab Togetherness e.V – Hanover, health service for the district and city of Osnabrück self-help contact point, statutory health insurance self-help support centre in Lower Saxony, ALDN e.V – Hanover, Lower Saxony Ministry for Social Affairs, etc.
