Who are Ebony Event?
Ebony-Event is a leading Afrotainment event management organisation in Germany that has gone down as one of the biggest and best organised African celebrations in Germany.
Ebony-Event was founded in 2011 by the then four African students in Germany namely; DJ K-Ran, DJ Franckey, Romeo Tchame & Oliver K. The event management organisation has gradually managed to become a leader in the field, thanks to its style of organising and hosting unique entertainment events that have conquered the hearts of thousands of people in Germany.
In a sector where reactivity, rigour and professionalism are essential values, the team behind the agency has been putting its experience at the service of the organisation of festivals, parties, concerts and tours for more than 10 years.
Ebony-Event has organised and hosted several renowned international acts including Davido, Sarkodie, Fally-Ipupa, Charlotte Dipanda, Flavour Nabania, Yemi Alade, Slaï etc.
Romeo, one of the founders of Ebony-Event said that when they launched the organisation, they never knew it would become successful. DJ Franckey, another one of the founders of Ebony-Event said they celebrate years of success because of all the people who have always believed in the organisation.

What are the AFRONEWS Awards?
The Afronews Awards celebrate and recognise the outstanding achievements of Africans in different fields in Germany. They are a way of appreciating and encouraging Africans who have excelled in different fields and are making a positive contribution to the German society.
The Awards also recognise the good work done by African organisations/associations and businesses to promote a positive image of Africa and Africans, facilitate integration of Africans in Germany, promote business opportunities and international cooperation between Germany and African countries, and above all, make Germany and the world a better place for all of us.
The Afronews Awards Gala Night 2023 is organised by Afronews, the newspaper for Africans in Germany in collaboration with GMB Promotions, founded and headed by Christopher Mendy alias Chris Black, the winner of the Best African Events Organiser 2022 Award at the last edition of Afronews Awards.
