Who is CK Wooden?
CK Wooden is a Nigeria born artiste based in Germany. His love for music started at an early age while he was a student. One of the most popular Record labels in Nigeria, Tabansi Records Limited, identified him while he was still a student and released his debut album.
In 1995 his motivational song for France 1998 World Cup that was sang in support of Nigerian National Team attracted the attention of the Federal Government of Nigeria.
The then minister of sports endorsed the song for two consecutive World Cup tournaments (France 1998 and Japan 2002).
In 2010, under IBO limited in UK, CK Wooden competed against international artistes like Shakira for the World Cup song. Unfortunately, his song was not chosen. He has since moved back to Afrobeats compositions.
His music mainly focuses on preaching peace, love and unity based on societal experiences. CK Wooden terms himself as a motivational performing artiste. So far, he has produced approximately 30 songs with more hits to come.
One thing that keeps him going is looking at how his music has delivered many souls from difficulties and the appreciation he has received from his family and friends.
CK Wooden has won several awards in Africa and Diaspora for his immense contribution to the Afrobeat music and culture. He has also been recognised as an ambassador of African music in Diaspora. There is nothing that gives him joy as creating music.
