Nollywood actress turned politician, Hon. Funke Adiseyan has commenced the distribution of food packages to Muslims in Ibadan South East/ North East local governments’. This is a bid to assist her constituents as the holy month of Ramadan unfolds during the coronavirus pandemic.
Adiseyan is the special assistant to the first lady of the country, Dr. Aisha Buhari, on domestic affairs. She conveyed that the need to help her people became even more dear to her in the start of the pandemic as she felt she needed to ease the burden of its’ effects if she can.
Adesiyan, who hails from Kudeti within the South East/North East Federal Constituency is popular for these gestures amongst her people especially during yuletide.
“Government at all levels are doing their bits. We have got to also do whatever we can do within our means. We need to show love to the people.
“This outreach I’m embarking on is my own bit. Let each one of us help another. By doing so, society would be better; we have to show love to our neighbors because we are all we’ve got”.
The Nollywood actress, who has always hit the gym even before the fast started has not allowed her religious observation hinder her workout as she even enjoys it more.
Happy about how things are going with her, she admonished her fans not to allow the fast hinder them from exercising their body and reading good books.
“Gym time! Ramadan shouldn’t be a hindrance to light exercise and some reading. Exercise your body, exercise your mind. Feed your brain with good books,” she shared.
