In his first season, the 24-year-old playmaker scored fourteen goals and provided seven assists, making him the club’s second top scorer after Captain Jarrod Bowen. His standout performances have attracted interest from Premier League teams and top European clubs.

With West Ham signing Jean-Clair Todibo, there have been rumors that Kudus might leave next season to help fund Todibo’s permanent move from Nice. Kudus’s release clause of €99 million becomes active next summer, raising the chances of his departure. Liverpool is reportedly interested in Kudus, especially since their forward Mohamed Salah has hinted at possibly leaving the club.

Salah, who has been a key player for Liverpool since 2017, may depart, and Kudus could be a prime target to replace him. Liverpool has only signed Federico Chiesa this transfer window for €17 million, suggesting they might invest heavily in Kudus. To increase their chances of keeping Kudus, West Ham will need to return to European football next season.

Mohammed Kudus, born on August 2, 2000, is a Ghanaian footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder or right winger for West Ham United in the Premier League and the Ghana national team. Before joining West Ham, he played for Nordsjælland and Ajax. Kudus comes from Nima in Accra, Ghana, has a Muslim background, and has two brothers living in Accra.

On August 27, 2023, Kudus signed a five-year deal with West Ham United from Ajax for €44.5 million, plus extra payments. This made him the third Ghanaian player at the club and the second most expensive Ghanaian footballer after Thomas Partey.
