It’s good news for Gambian striker Bubacarr Trawally who joined Hammarby FC in Sweden during the last day of the transfer window starting a new journey in his life.
The Gambian National Team forward is to join the Swedish team after they reached an agreement with Ajman, Trawally’s club in the United Arab Emirates, releasing him.
Hammarby FC’s agreement with Trawally is to extend over a period of two years with former professional footballer and the director of football at Hammarby FC, Jesper Jansson saying, ”We see Trawally as the last piece of the puzzle before the start of the series.”
Bubacarr Trawally leaving the Middle East for Bajenland will be a great addition to the green and white’s attack as they finalise their last acquisition of this transfer window with the Gambian footballer.
Jesper Jansoon said that the team had talked to Bubacarr and agreed that he would join in the Summer. Hammarby FC even wanted him to play immediately as they had aimed to acquire Bubacarr even before the beginning of the season.
”It has been a couple of intense weeks, and even if he misses the premiere, we are very happy to have him with us already for the spring season, and to get a player of his class, it at all feels fantastic. Considering how good the squad looked during the pre-season, we have seen Trawally as the last piece of the puzzle before the start of the series,” says Jesper Jansson.Â
So what kind of player is Bubacarr Trawally?
Jesper Jansson gave further testimoney of the player regarding his skills he said:
‘He is able to play offense and can also play in all three positions at the front. Trawally is all-round, fast, good with the ball and can finish in several different ways, and we are convinced that he will contribute a lot to our offence. Bubacarr is a quality player who is a national team player, and even though he played in leagues that are unfamiliar to most people here, they maintain a good level. European clubs have been looking for him before, but it is only now that he feels he wants to step here and measure himself in European football.’

Who is Bubacarr Trawally?
Trawally was born just over 27 years ago in Bundung, Gambia. His senior career started in Real de Banjul, and from there he went as a 20-year-old to the Chinese top league where he won the shooting league in 2017.
After four years in China, he went to the Saudi Arabian big club Al-Shabab, and then Ajman in the United Arab Emirates.

Following his move from the Arabian team Bubacarr Trawally told fans, ”I am here now Bajen fans!! Glad to have finally completed my move to the BEST club in Sweden Hammarby Fotboll” He added: “I’ve been overwhelmed with reactions from the Hammarbyare since my transfer was announced and I can’t wait to make you all happy.”
The Gambian footballer also added that he was sure they would make beautiful history together with his new team and that they would continue to make the Tele2 Arena a fortress!
He thanked all the fans for their well wishes and love and said moving to the Swedish club had created a new chapter in his life with an amazing club with the best supporters!
