Cameroon captain Vincent Aboubakar leads the golden boot rankings after scoring four goals in their games. Aboubakar moves top of the score sheet after equaling a record set by Cameroonian legend Samuel Eto’o.

Vincent Aboubakar scored in both matches against Ethiopia and Burkina Faso. He added his last goal during their draw with Cape Verde. His current goals are as follows:

  • most goals (5)

Cameroon will be proceeding to the last 16 after securing 6 points in all of their group stage matches.

Karl Toko Ekambi who plays as forward for Cameroon as well is behind Vincent Aboubakar with two goals. Toko Ekambi scored his first goal in their match against Ivory Coast during the first half. Toko Ekambi made his first International debut for Cameroon in 2015 AFCON.

Although there has been a lot of controversial stories about the player’s age, he continues to show love and attachment to his team. He has been accused of dodging his age severally however the player has remained silent on this controversial story. If by any chance the team win the Africa Cup, Vincent Aboubakar will be in the heart of many Cameroonians for his efforts towards the victory.

Vincent Aboubakar is currently with Saudi Arabia Professional league club Al Nassr. The contract is expected to last for three years with a salary of 6 million Euros per year. He has also been part of the Cameroon National team.
