46 bodies found in truck parked in a remote area, they died from exhaustion

World News. 46 people died of exhaustion while on a truck. The bodies were of migrants who were found in a truck parked in San Antonio, USA. 16 survivors are in the hospital.

BILD wrote that the survivors had been taken to hospitals and many are said to be in critical health condition. The victims are said to be 12 adults and four children.

The patients felt hot and were dehydrated as there was no water in the truck and no working air conditioning.

According to media reports, three people were arrested. However, it is unclear whether they are actually connected to this case of alleged people smuggling, “News4SA” quoted San Antonio Police Commissioner William McManus as saying.

The police said they are looking for the driver of the truck who had abandoned his vehicle in a remote area.

The truck was spotted by a worker at a nearby business who heard a call for help and came out to check, on opening the doors they found a number of bodies inside.
