A Black Lives Matter demo is taking place tomorrow in Piazza Umberto 1, Bari, from 17:00.
Afana Bella Dieudonne aka Capitano Dido, one of the organisers of the event says the event will call for a society where there is justice for all and where all can live in harmony.
“We need a society free from racial discrimination, where the colour of your skin doesn’t matter, where diversity is considered a resource, where being black doesn’t mean you are a criminal, where the human rights of all are respected,” Capitano Dido says.

What does the Black lives matter demo mean and the origin?
Black Lives Matter Foundation, Inc is a global organisation in the US, UK, and Canada, whose mission is to eradicate white supremacy and build local power to intervene in violence inflicted on Black communities by the state and vigilantes. It was founded in 2013 in response to the acquittal of Trayvon Martin’s murderer.
It does this by combating and countering acts of violence, creating space for Black imagination and innovation, and centering Black joy, it is a group that is focused on winning immediate improvements in black people’s lives.
