All the people who submitted their Italian citizenship applications and need to find out any updates on their status can dial:
06/46539955 – Mondays and Wednesdays
3346909996 – Wednesdays
3346909859 – Fridays
Those calling from outside the country should add the prefix +39.
The operators answer the calls from 10:00 to 12:00.
Why have phone numbers for information on Italian citizenship application status?
As of today, those applying for Italian citizenship must wait for at least 48 months for their applications to be processed. In most cases the authorities take more than 48 months to process the applications.

A new measure recently approved by the Government proposes reducing this to 36 months. It will only enter into force once approved by the Parliament.
Latest stats from Istat (National Institute of Statistics) show that 127,000 foreigners obtained Italian citizenship in 2019. Ninety percent were non-EU citizens.
In the previous year only 103,000 foreigners obtained Italian citizenship. Among non-EU citizens, the Albanian, Moroccan and Brazilian communities lead the ranking of acquisitions, but those that recorded the greatest increases compared to 2018 are the Macedonian, Pakistani and Ecuadorian ones.
