Talks with the Turkish club started on Monday, and things moved fast. Napoli, eager to offload the unhappy striker, quickly accepted Galatasaray’s loan offer, which will cover most of Osimhen’s high salary.

Although the loan deal doesn’t include an option to buy, Napoli still agreed. Next, Galatasaray had to convince Osimhen to make the move. Initially, Osimhen wanted to join PSG or Chelsea, but PSG pulled back due to Napoli’s demands, and he couldn’t agree on terms with Chelsea.

Fabrizio Romano and Ben Jacobs report that Osimhen has agreed to join Galatasaray and could be on his way to Istanbul as soon as tonight.
While some final details still need to be worked out, there’s optimism that the deal will go through. Osimhen is pushing for a break clause in January, allowing him to move to a bigger club if the chance arises.

At the same time, Osimhen is also in discussions with Napoli about a new contract, despite their strained relationship. Napoli wants to extend his deal until 2027 to protect his value, but Osimhen is pushing to lower his release clause from €130 million to €75 million.
Despite these ongoing talks, Osimhen has already agreed to the Galatasaray move, which seems to be the most significant hurdle overcome.
