Liverpool is buzzing with excitement as they prepare for the 2024–2025 Premier League season, following the departure of their manager Jürgen Klopp. The club has set its sights on making some significant signings, with Ghanaian star Mohammed Kudus, currently playing for West Ham, being their top target.

Mohammed Kudus has been a standout performer in the Premier League, making more successful take-ons than any other player in Europe’s top five leagues. His exceptional dribbling skills and overall play have garnered attention worldwide.

Liverpool, having closely followed Kudus’s progress both at Ajax and West Ham, is ready to trigger his £85 million release clause this summer. New coach Arne Slot is a big admirer of the 23-year-old and sees him as a key addition to Liverpool’s attacking lineup.

Mohammed Kudus (born 2 August 2000) is a Ghanaian professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder or right winger for Premier League club West Ham United and the Ghana national team. Kudus has previously played for Nordsjælland and Ajax. He hails from Nima in Accra, Ghana, and is a Muslim. He also has two brothers who live in Accra.

On 27 August 2023, Mohammed Kudus joined West Ham United from Ajax on a five-year contract for €44.5m (£38m) plus add-ons, becoming the third Ghanaian at the club and the second most expensive Ghanaian footballer after Thomas Partey.

He debuted on 1 September in a 2–1 win against Luton Town and scored his first goals on 21 September in a 3–1 Europa League win over TSC Bačka Topola. Kudus scored his first Premier League goal on 9 October 2023 against Newcastle and won West Ham’s Goal of the Month in November for a scissor kick against Brentford.
