For many, it also means the end of summer vacations and getting back to daily routines. Here’s the weather forecast for the weekend: some areas will experience very hot temperatures and storms, so people in these regions should be ready for changing weather.

Germany: Weather Forecast for the Final Holiday Weekend

Bavaria will experience an exceptionally warm and sunny weekend. On Friday, most areas will enjoy sunshine with temperatures ranging from 29 to 34 degrees Celsius. However, residents in the northern parts, lowlands, and Upper Franconia should be prepared for possible clouds, which may lead to afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms.

Locally, heavy rain could occur, with up to 20 liters per square meter in an hour, small hail, and gusty winds reaching up to 70 km/h. Most regions will have light to moderate winds from the northeast to the east.

Saturday will also be warm and sunny, with temperatures between 28 and 32 degrees Celsius. However, storm clouds may develop in the Alps in the afternoon and evening, bringing showers and thunderstorms. On Sunday, temperatures will once again exceed 30 degrees, reaching a high of 27 to 32 degrees Celsius. The wind will be light to moderate, mainly coming from the east.

Weather in Berlin and Brandenburg

After a hot week, Berlin and Brandenburg will continue to experience high temperatures over the weekend. On Friday, the Lower Lusatia region could see temperatures as high as 32 degrees Celsius. Northern Brandenburg may face local showers and thunderstorms, which could extend to Berlin and Potsdam in the afternoon. Rain is expected overnight but will ease by early morning, with temperatures dropping to around 12 degrees Celsius.

The weather is set to improve for the weekend. Both Saturday and Sunday will be dry and sunny, with temperatures reaching 26 and 28 degrees Celsius, respectively. While there may be some light cloud cover in places, the conditions will generally be great for outdoor activities, especially trips to the water.
