Chelsea eye victor osimhen. African footballers. Chelsea’s efforts to sign Victor Osimhen in the summer didn’t pan out as he ended up joining Galatasaray on loan. Although Chelsea was prepared to offer him a much higher wage than the €185,000 he earns weekly at Napoli and Galatasaray, their initial offer of a loan didn’t appeal to Napoli or Osimhen, leading to his move to Galatasaray.
Football Insider reports that Chelsea plans to pursue Osimhen again in January. They aim to use a break clause in Napoli’s loan deal with Galatasaray, which could allow Napoli to recall Osimhen early and then sell him.

Osimhen’s price might drop in January as he will have only a year and a half left on his contract. Chelsea is prepared to make a reasonable offer, with Napoli possibly asking around €58 million. Chelsea isn’t worried about Osimhen’s current wages, as they were ready to offer him more than double his Napoli salary. The striker was also interested in joining Chelsea.
With Chelsea having invested in other attacking players who are performing well, like Nicolas Jackson and Jadon Sancho, they are in a stronger position to negotiate. It’s possible that Osimhen could leave Galatasaray early and join Chelsea this winter.
