At the same time, another accident involving three vehicles occurred, resulting in one person with minor injuries. The fire department attended to 33 people overall, leading to a full closure of the A2 motorway towards Hanover for about an hour, according to RTL.
During the traffic jam caused by the accidents, five more vehicles collided, leaving one person seriously injured. All the injured were taken to the hospital, and a rescue helicopter was dispatched to the scene. The police are currently investigating the causes of the accidents.

Serious Accident on A7 Motorway: Ten Injured
On Saturday, a serious accident on the A7 motorway near Neuenstein (Hersfeld-Rotenburg district) resulted in a complete roadblock towards Kassel. The collision, involving four vehicles, occurred at the end of a traffic jam, with one car catching fire. Fifteen people were in the vehicles, and ten were injured.
Shortly after the crash, the 38-year-old driver’s car caught fire under unknown circumstances. The vehicle, a Mercedes B200, was quickly engulfed in flames and completely destroyed, though the driver and passengers managed to escape. The identities of the three other drivers involved have not been released. Among the ten injured, eight, including three small children, were hospitalized, according to HNA. The accident caused a full closure of the A7 motorway towards Kassel for about an hour.
