If you are a young female journalist in Germany with a brilliant idea for a new project and need connections, or if you would like to exchange your ideas and questions with an experienced colleague who gives you advice for your next career step, then don’t miss this opportunity.

The Journalistinnenbund has got what you need.

The Journalistinnenbund mentoring program connects you with experienced female colleagues who offer you one year of support and guidance – for free.

The applicant is matched with one of the female jb mentors. Individually, you two decide what the topics and goals in your team are. The jb-mentoring team offers overall-organisational support and supervision throughout the year.

All female journalists who are seeking support for their professional development, be it accessing new topics and fields, finding new clients or re-entering work life after a break, can apply to join the jb-Mentoring Program for female journalists. There is no age limit.

Female journalists who have fled to Germany from regions affected by war or conflict are strongly encouraged to apply.

The deadline for submitting applications is 15th March 2017. The teams will start working on 30th June 2017.

The Journalistinnenbund – jb- is a nationwide network of about 400 professional women working in the media. Its key goals include showing and enhancing the competences of women in media, and supporting new talents and to honour outstanding journalistic work.
