German City of Berlin makes masks compulsory to curb new infections. The Senate came to the decision to extend the obligation to wear masks in the capital. Mandatory masks at markets, some streets and in queues.

You will also have to put on the masks on:

– fairs

– on certain high streets:

  • Wilmersdorfer Strasse
  • Friedrichstrasse
  • Altstadt Spandau
  • Schlossstrasse
  • Bergmannstrasse
  • Karl Marx Strasse
  • Alte Schönhauser Strasse
  • Bölschestrasse

and; in queues, unless a minimum distance of 1.5 meters can be kept.

According to Mayor Michael Müller (SPD), this list is not exhaustive and will be extended if necessary.

Berliners are reminded not to assemble from 23:00. until 5:00. in the morning in public places more than five unrelated people.

The injunction to cover the nose and mouth had already been introduced there in shops, public transport, in office buildings, in catering establishments outside of sitting at tables, and in schools outside of classrooms and taking breaks.
