Parts of Terminal 1 at Frankfurt international Airport have been evacuated after a passenger caused a security breach.
Police however noted that the evacuation of the terminal was a precaution and there was no threat of a bomb or any other concrete danger.
“Passengers will be rechecked prior to departure,” a spokesperson for the German airport.
The breach would lead to flight delays at the hub, German airline Lufthansa’s main base.
“We advise all passengers departing from FRA today to check the status of their flight,” Frankfurt Airport officials said.
Passengers have also been advised to allow extra time to reach the Frankfurt Airport due to the current police action.
