Nollywood actress Moyo Lawal says she blames the Nollywood industry for her not being a millionaire. The actress said that she would at least be a million dollars richer if the Nigerian film industry had better structures in place.
She shared this thought on her Instagram feed while sharing a picture of herself making a common dish in Nigeria called ‘Amala’.
“It just reoccurred to me that, I have been working myself off since before *I even became an adult *doing honest work ooooh ( if not that Nollywood is the way it is, somebody will have millions of dollars by now

“But the society only recognizes and appreciates fully dressed women who are married (some with hidden dirty lives by the way) Then, why is that people just naturally assume that sexy females who are comfortable with their sexuality are promiscuous?” she asked.
Many Nollywood artists have admitted that they have had to find other supplementary means of generating income as the industry is not as lucrative as it appears to be.
Others have admitted that they have had to live a fake life to be up to ‘expectations’ that people assume of them because they think that they are stars so they should have lost of money.
The Nollywood actress Moyo Lawal hopes the industry will be better managed in the future.
