The Embassy of Nigeria in Berlin has suspended consular services until 22nd March 2020.
“The temporary closure of the Consular Section is to enable the Embassy complete ongoing environmental sanitation of the Chancery Premises. During this period, applicants will not be allowed access into the Embassy’s Consular Section,” the Embassy said in a statement.
Consular activities at the Embassy of Nigeria in Berlin will resume on Monday, 23rd March 2020.
With the threat of coronavirus, it is difficult to ascertain if the Consular services will resume as usual.
In any case, in the meantime if you would like to apply for a Nigerian passport or visa in Berlin, you better wait until the 23rd of March and to be safe, check with the Consular Section before travelling there.
Meanwhile the Embassy of Nigeria in Berlin is reminding all passport applicants that effective from 2nd March 2020, no applicant without a revalidated appointment by the Embassy would be allowed access into the Embassy’s premises.
In this regard, all passport applicants who have existing appointments from March 2020 to June 2020 should kindly contact the Embassy with proof of appointment confirmation to revalidate their appointments.
