DBOI X, Nigerian musician’s passionate appeal to Africans in Germany

Africans in Germany should “keep their heads up, respect the law of the land and uphold their cultural values,” says DBOI X, a Nigerian Pop, Afrobeat and Afrovibe musician.

The German based musician also urges Africans in Germany to avoid illegal dealings and “be socially and economically effective and efficient in their various fields.”

This young musician is an extraordinary stage performer. He has performed in both formal and informal events around Europe and shared stage with some famous African musicians including 2face Idibia, Sound Sultan, Baba Dee, Chudi K, African China, Terry G, Oritshe Femi, Mc Galaxy and Franchise.

DBOI X has recorded 12 singles and released four quality official music videos.

One of his most famous hits is “African Woman”, an Afrovibe Reggae song he dedicated to a lady he loves. In this song DBOI X praises the lady’s inner qualities and physical beauty which have blown his mind completely. His fantastic experience with this lady has made him convinced that all African women are virtuous, sweethearts, and unique.

He describes his experience as an African musician in Germany as “challenging”, adding that “being an African musician in Europe is always a daunting task.”

Some of the main challenges he faces are publishing his music and making money out of it, access to mainstream TV and radio stations to promote his music, lack of opportunities to perform before larger audiences as well as lack of investors.

DBOI X is grateful to his music lovers. “I thank them for their support and for always being there,” he says.

He reveals that there’s so much more good music on the way for his fans.
