Vanessa Hudgens has been cancelled by her millions of fans over some insensitive information she shared on her Instagram platform while going live. She took to social media where she exhibited a blatant disregard for the severity of the coronavirus outbreak.
In an Instagram live video, Hudgens told her followers she thought officials estimating the outbreak might last until July sounds like it’s a bit extra.
The High School Musical star told fans: “Even if everybody gets it, like yeah, people are going to die, which is terrible… but like inevitable?”
She defended herself by claiming her words were taken out of context and that she did not mean it as people perceived it. Vanessa added that her words were ‘not appropriate’.
After the internet bashed her she posted an apology to all those she offended saying she was sorry for the way she was insensitive.

“I realize my words were insensitive and not at all appropriate for the situation our country and the world are in right now. This has been a huge wakeup call about the significance my words have, now more than ever,” she added. “I’m sending safe wishes to everyone to stay safe and healthy during this crazy time.”
The 31-year-old went live on Instagram seemingly responding to Donald Trump’s announcement that the coronavirus pandemic could stretch into July and August.
“Until July sounds like a bunch of…” she said, adding: “It’s a virus, I get it, I respect it.”
After her comments started to circulate on Twitter, the actor/singer got back on Instagram to clarify. Vanessa’s shallow take on coronavirus and her spread of misinformation on Instagram could do more harm than she might have anticipated — especially since her fan base of millennials could be crucial in stopping the spread of coronavirus.

“It’s a crazy time, it’s a crazy, crazy time and I am at home and in lockdown and that’s what I hope you guys are doing too,” she told her 38.4 million followers.
“I don’t take this situation lightly, by any means, I am home.”
