African Youth Abroad Empowerment (AYAE) has been nominated for the Best African Association in Germany Award (2021) at the AFRONEWS – Ortel Mobile African Community in Germany Awards (2021).

DETAILS OF THE NOMINEE
African Youth Abroad Empowerment (AYAE) was founded by James Obed Kitson to empower and support the African youth living in the diaspora.
Mr Obed Kitson is the C.E.O. of PEECOM PLUS UG, and he has
played a wonderful role to mentor young Africans in Germany through workshops and seminars.
The African Youth Abroad Empowerment (AYAE) organizes workshops and events that help its members and interested individuals add to their skills and also improve their lifestyle and career.
It educates the youth on matters that relate to them and gives them information that they need to grow personally and professionally.
Mr James Obed Kitson, Founder, AYAE once said: “It has come to our notice that most African Youth living abroad do not have the prerequisite knowledge of immigration laws, for example in Germany the youth who arrive to study or to work usually have close to no knowledge about the rights they are entitled to, as well as the responsibilities they must fulfil. Hearsay information which has been handed down from generation to generation is what they are told and what they apply. Unfortunately, this kind of information lacks basis and is not based on facts, hence we find our youth either getting into trouble with the authorities or missing out on opportunities they are entitled to.”
